Skincare Favorites

Skincare is something I have learned to appreciate over the years. I don’t have perfect skin so I always make sure to do my skincare routine morning & night, or I may regret it the next day. I like to buy mini skincare sets so I can try out new products frequently. Here are the products I currently have on rotation.

Winter & The City

The city really comes to life during the winter time, with all the festive window displays. Up until Valentine's Day, there were a lot of great pop-ups & decor for the holidays. I even came across some hidden gems like a dried flower shop & the Barney's closeout sale. Can't wait to see what this summer has in store.

Pop Art Halloween Makeup

Halloween is my favorite "holiday" of the year. I love any excuse to dress up & be creative. I always get ideas from Pinterest to DIY my own costumes.

My friend Ophelia is an amazing makeup artist so instead of focusing on the actual costume, I decided to go all out on hair & makeup. I took inspiration from one of my old phone backgrounds and did a pink pop art look.

Cape Blazers

I love to purchase clothing items that are timeless & that I can wear multiple different ways. I bought this cape blazer 5 years ago from Forever 21 & it is one of the best pieces in my wardrobe.

Cape blazers are great to throw on over long sleeve tops, crop tops, dresses. They instantly elevate your look. Plus, you don’t have to worry it falling off unlike a regular blazer that is draped on your shoulders.

For this outfit, I paired the cape blazer with a black crop top, faux leather leggings, & black heels. To break up the monochromatic look, I wore my Louis Vuitton Nano Speedy.

Gallery Hopping in Chelsea

On my days off from work, I love to go to the city to check out things I bookmarked on Instagram throughout the week. I finally found the infamous pink & black townhouses on MacDougal. Then I had lunch in Greenwich Village & stopped by Dominique Ansel Bakery for frozen smores. I ended the day by going to art galleries in Chelsea. Most of the galleries are free & within a couple blocks from each other. I'm so glad I was able to see these exhibits before they ended.

Sephora Haul

Believe it or not, I don't shop at Sephora often. But when my friend gave me the Friends & Family discount, I decided to splurge on some products I've had in my cart for a while.

A Weekend In Boston

Just a 4-hour bus ride from New York City, Boston is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway. This trip was the rest & relaxation that I needed after studying all month for board exams. The heat wave that hit the northeast didn't stop us from exploring Boston's best spots. We took advantage of air conditioning in museums and restaurants during the day & we walked around the city once the sun went down. I would love to explore the college campuses & go to a game at Fenway during my next visit!

MIA in Miami

I used to go to Orlando, Florida every year as a kid to visit family, but this was my first time going south to Miami. My friends & I went to Miami for Ultra Music Festival & we still had time to explore the city each day before the festival. We stayed in an AirBNB in South Beach, right by the water. It was the perfect location to grab a quick bite to eat & head to the beach to relax. There's still so much of Miami I want to see, send me your recommendations for my next trip to MIA!

Spring Dresses

Spring is always the time of year that gets unexpectedly busy for me. I didn’t realize how many events I have in the next few months until I put them all in my Google calendar (AKA the only way I stay organized). From birthday brunches to bridal showers & weddings, I definitely need to refresh my wardrobe. I am that person that feels the need to buy a new outfit for every event I go to. So here are some dresses for every occasion you may have this spring!

Summer Fridays | R+R Mask

Last Saturday I attended an event in SoHo for one of my favorite clean beauty brands, Summer Fridays. This up-and-coming brand has released their third face mask, R+R, & had a flower making event to celebrate the launch. I was so excited to meet the boss babes behind this indie brand, Marianna Hewitt & Lauren Gores Ireland & try out the mask for myself!
